These are My favorite fishing reels for lake fishing.
I use a Daiwa GS-1 light medium spinning reel for lake and boating fishing, because it has a smoother drag to play the fish, and the spool is machined made; and was one of the first multi-ball bearing reels, made. I can catch almost all the big fish that get hooked with this reel. The drag can be set almost as strong the line is, and the line doesn't break. I use heavier fishing line with this reel, so I usually use low visibility fishing line.
I like to use a Ryobi AX123 medium heavy spinning reel that is a fresh light saltwater fishing reel for lake fishing, because it is light weight alloy, but has an adjustable bail release with a ceramic anti line twist roller; a fast retrieve, and is lighter weight than the other fishing reels so the match with regular lake rods; so I can catch more fish. When I change from spinners to float fishing I sometimes use a tied on leader line that is as long as the floats line length, when I am not using a smaller spinning reel. I use a ball bearing swivel, so the line doesn't get twisted. When I fish with live nite crawlers, I sometimes add a stinger hook for fishing. I usually use medium fishing line with this spinning reel, and I use high visibility fluorescent fishing line.

Fishing Soft Bait
Fishing plastic baits are made more natural, softer and stronger, than they used to be; and many are also flavored and scented, with natural and other chemical and oil scents.
Fishing worms, can match different foods such as shad, sunfish and crayfish; the worms colors used usually changes with the time of the day. Glitter and sparkles can help to attract fish to the bait. Bright color sometimes are better to use in cloudier water.
